While I think it's going to do really well in the first week, I don't think it will do that well. Those predictions are really high.
I expect it will be over a million. Over 2million, im not so sure about. I don't think it will get as high as 2million.
It was released on the 12th, so it only gets a 3 day week right? The 12th, 13th and 14th. So that could lower the numbers of the first week sales as it's only 3 days.

 

EDIT: Sorry, stupid post. I thought your worldwide sales were first week. My bad. Sorry. Haha. Yeah, I think your prediction are within reach.

EDIT again: Nope I was still confused.(maybe I need glasses or something because I keep reading things wrong) I think 1.8million for first week is reasonable, but not on first day.

I assume that attachment rate of 1/7th for first day sales of MGS 4 is worldwide. Based on Japan sales first day for MGS 4. Multiply the total for each region and I get my numbers.

Bear in mind America and Europe are more shooter game crazy than Japan. MGS 4 is a stealth shooter based game. MGS 4 is a shooter style game and that means amazzzing sales.

Anyway, i wonder, can MGS4 sell 1 mln. in both Europe and USA first week.. =)

That would be 2,5 mln. First Week WW then. =)

it`s probably FFXIII, well, i hope in July or in August we will have a release date.

And really no need to compare with SMG, MGS4 is ANOTHER level of GAMING.

GT 5, IMO will be a better game than FF XIII. I love racers, but can not stand RPG's
