- It's American
- Their hardware reliabilty is shit compared to SONY'S PS3 and the Wii
- Final Fantasy is on PS3
- Supports no PS2/PS1 games,, duh!

Dragon Quest doesn't sell nearly as well outside of japan. Which... was my point. Not that graphics is important on RPGs. they aren't... but that's why plenty of people think it is.

Good one Kasz, you are completely right in that.

Well ,if truth has to be told the best JRPG for the 360 is Lost Oddysey that is a solid 8 not more.
Its maybe too soon to say things as RPG king dont you think ?

LO is more like an 8.5 to me
Even so, Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, and Star Ocean:The Last Hope all have the potential to be better than LO in terms of both quality and sales

Aside from that i assume it's because JRPGs are one genre where people mostly perfer the same kind of gameplay that's been around since the NES. Nice turn based, throw in a few tricks but nothing to fancy combat. Put it in a fantasy setting, and you have to save the world. The only things that have drastically changed in them is the graphics. People are trying to copy FF's success not realizing that it isn't it's graphics that do it. It was just that FF was at the right place at the right time. |

Because they come from a latin medieval proverb, "Beati monoculi in terra caecorum". In Italy we often use the latin original, but lot of the regional derivatives are equal to the english and spanish ones.

brute said: the 360 clearly has the best rpg line-up,released and upcoming but why isnt it doing good in japan is it cause most of the japanese dont buy products not made by them(like with cars) or maybe the name?the look?what do you think it is? |
Because the console isn't made in Japan, and Japan is all about tradition and patriotism.
Also, its a case of them coming to the console too late to spur interest. If say, these games were released in Japan before the PS3 or Wii came out, you might have seen better sales.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
