Forums - Nintendo - AAA Wii third-party support on the way, says Capcom community specialist

@Snake
Wii owners want te shift to happen faster than they can say "Stiltzkin."

But also note, that the Wiiowners aren't to blame, it's the CEO's for not doing their jobs, which is to read the market and ensure their companies future into the largest possible profit not revenue.

Basically heads should be rolling but my guess is something's coming, and a few heads did roll.

It´s funny to see people react like they do to this like it threatens their life or something and it seems like most people trying to belitle this doesn´t even have a Wii.

RE4 and RE:UC both sold good numbers on the wii and all they can come up with is "spyborg" whatever way you spin it, this don't sound right at all. They know they can't use the lame "mature game don't sell on wii" excuses anymore, now the best they can tell you is to wait. How fucking lame.

@Vaio
you do realize Planing for the future is still another way saying "lets wait and see", Capcom just need to admit it like Ubisoft or Epic they are concentrate at the HD market only. instead come out bullshit statements.

I never said it was a sure thing but you all react like it was sure it won´t be true and that it kills you or something and if you look at the statements they make sense that AAA titles haven´t been announced because they decided late in the game to give that kind of support to the Wii. We all know for how long the biggest games have been in development but still you expect AAA titles for the Wii to be announced planned and made in less then a year and that doesn´t make any sense.

Maybe someone could explain why so many people seem so upset about Spyborgs ...

To me it seems very similar in style to Jak and Daxter or Ratchet and Clank which are both very good games that are not considered 'Kiddie.' With this in mind, why does everyone assume that Spyborgs will be an awful game that is overly 'Kiddie' based off of a couple of screenshots?

I like the bullshit statements, cause then it keeps the gossip going, after Ubisoft admitted they just don't give a crap about the Wii and it's simply funding their HD games it's like... wtf?

Like it's wierd, you wan't to say fu** Ubisoft, but you don't care enough because you know those HD games sucked, I mean ASsassins Creed made me not like my Ps3 for gaming anymore, now it's just a porn player and internet browser... wait I'm lying I'm playing Persona3 right now. 80 gig rocks. XD too bad for you 40gig owners. =P

@HappySqurriel probably the same reason they feel so threatened by this kind of statements that the Wii is getting good support and good games.

It must be their worst nightmare if the Wii managed to get most of the established franhises that is for the HD consoles right now.

This is exactly what I have been saying.

1. This E3 will see many big titles going to Wii.
2. By next E3 (2009) will be 2 times that of this year.

It's actually Nintendo's fault but not for the reasons you here fanboys spouting about.

When publishers began gearing up for 7th generation development, they are started with some base specs.   Their planning and pre-dev kit development was all done with certain expectations for al 3 consoles.  Nintendo unfortunately didn't go into much detail with publishers about Wii until quite late so they had to scrap much early work (Oblivion was originally planed for Wii and then scrapped because it didn't meet their base spec and initial dev kits were GC dev kits with motion control).

Most publishers learned about Wii (then Revolution) from the media itself.   This lower spec'ed machine didn't fit with their initial support plans.  Analysts began publishing sales projections which painted the Wii very poorly.  Publishers bought expensive sales forecasts that they planned to use as a guide for the first few years into the 7th generation.  Again the Wii was kicked to the curb.

Combine all that with the precedent of Nintendo console sales getting lower each generation since the NES and the business model Nintendo created was new and untested so publisherw were rightly concerned that Wii would be a risk.

While publishers watched and waited to see if Wii was a viable platform they still had to do business as usual and that again placed Wii out of the current big budget support loop.

Spyborgs was commissioned to Bionic Games prior to RE:UC being released.

Your entire arguement is based on assumptions of business practices, development dates, the development cycle and ignorance.   What is lame is your continued pursuit of your own tail instead of chasing down actual facts and information.
