But also note, that the Wiiowners aren't to blame, it's the CEO's for not doing their jobs, which is to read the market and ensure their companies future into the largest possible profit not revenue.
Basically heads should be rolling but my guess is something's coming, and a few heads did roll. |
It's actually Nintendo's fault but not for the reasons you here fanboys spouting about.
When publishers began gearing up for 7th generation development, they are started with some base specs. Their planning and pre-dev kit development was all done with certain expectations for al 3 consoles. Nintendo unfortunately didn't go into much detail with publishers about Wii until quite late so they had to scrap much early work (Oblivion was originally planed for Wii and then scrapped because it didn't meet their base spec and initial dev kits were GC dev kits with motion control).
Most publishers learned about Wii (then Revolution) from the media itself. This lower spec'ed machine didn't fit with their initial support plans. Analysts began publishing sales projections which painted the Wii very poorly. Publishers bought expensive sales forecasts that they planned to use as a guide for the first few years into the 7th generation. Again the Wii was kicked to the curb.
Combine all that with the precedent of Nintendo console sales getting lower each generation since the NES and the business model Nintendo created was new and untested so publisherw were rightly concerned that Wii would be a risk.
While publishers watched and waited to see if Wii was a viable platform they still had to do business as usual and that again placed Wii out of the current big budget support loop.

They know they can't use the lame "mature game don't sell on wii" excuses anymore, now the best they can tell you is to wait. How fucking lame.

Spyborgs was commissioned to Bionic Games prior to RE:UC being released.
Your entire arguement is based on assumptions of business practices, development dates, the development cycle and ignorance. What is lame is your continued pursuit of your own tail instead of chasing down actual facts and information.
