My grandfather is 85 and plays the xbox 360 and ps3. He plays about 5 hours everyday because he doesnt have anything else to do. He hates the wii because it to hard to play for his age.

well its all about diplomacy keep her sweet or suffer either way you get to play your game. just depends on the circumstances you play it under. actually she is ok as far as my gaming goes once it is not affecting family life which is ok with me. priorites are important imo.
Yeah I think it should be for any age despite society still seeing it as a kid's thing..I plan to be a gaming grandad but how you manage the time, idk.

Gaming shouldn't be limited by age or really anything. Never too anything to play games. Something for fun and everyone should be allowed to have fun right.
gaming is for eveyone, you can play games from 5-90
I agree that games can be played at any age, but I would hope as people got older and got married and had children that they are more productive with their time.
When your in middle school and its summer and you cant go anywhere cause you cant drive, then 40+ hours of gaming is reasonable. I am amazed that people that are married can find that kind of time while working. Please give me your secret if you do! :)
Ill say one thing though, online gaming is addictive, i could play games like warhawk, halo 3, and mgs online all day!
Look at this way: when you have babies you'll have ZERO TIME FOR GAMES.
But when the kids are old enough to hold a controller, you'll suddenly have new friends to play with. Toddlers love games, especially because they treat every new game and every new activity as part of being a grown-up and learning to play something cool that daddy does.
One time some friends came over while I was babysitting a friend's kid, and we played NBA Jam. 4 of us were holding SNES controllers and playing, and we gave the youngster a NES controller, and he couldn't tell the difference, and he thought he was playing, and he was having a blast. No matter who made a shot on either team, he said it was him and wanted to pause and give us all high fives.

That is by far, one of the best and full of truth stories I've heard in a long time.
Anyhow, I think there's not really a max age, but more of a lack of time constraint. I think my dad would play if he had more time to do so^^ he always enjoys games and the like.
