1) I made a list of notable 360 exclusives (not just console exclusives) earlier today, and there's actually more than on the PS3. Plus, no Rare Xbox/X360 game has been ported to the PC thus far, so there's no reason to believe that BK3 will.

2) He's looking for a game console, not a movie player, from the sound of it.

3) You can play all but a handful of those games on a $130 PS2. And the 80gb isn't entirely backwards compatible; many key games will not play, or play properly on it. Finally, my 360 is pretty quiet; when have you heard a 360 that sounds "like a jet engine"?

1) Can you show me this list please?

2) Agreed

3) Hes probably talking about launch consoles, and ignoring the fact that the latest ones are quiter, and by all accounts very reliable (thus far)

get a PS3,,,most of 360 exclusives will be available on PC,,so you won't miss much,,,,and don't buy a console for banjo and kazooie now ,,,it might turn out to be a mediocre game.(it might also end up on PC,,,a better version of it ,like most of 360 exclusives)

by the looks of the list you provided,it seems you like lots of Sony Computer Entertainment games which will never be available on PC.

plus blu-ray on HD-tv is something that you need to have to make proper use of your HDtv.

with 80GB you get access to all PS1,PS2,PS3 games .the console is super quite and very reliable.(360 sounds like a jet engine when it's working)

He may not be a PC gamer. Even if he is, you just told him not to buy a 360 based on future games potential.

If you cant see the 360's wonderful games and think potential isn't enough to buy one, you definitely can't justify a PS3 purchase.

I have a big group of friends who do nothing but PC game, but I cant afford a $2000 PC gaming rig, so I stick to consoles.

You're making assumptions that Spartan is telling him to buy a PS3 for the future games, you're also assuming that the games currently out forthe PS3 don't justify its purchase.  Which is a round about way of getting in the old "PS3 has no games" jab, which is simply not true.  I own a PS3 for the games that are on it right now, and am perfectly happy with my purchase.  Don't assume that because you can't find a good reason amongst the current games to by a PS3 that noone can.

Also a little above you said that you hear about more PS3's failing than 360's failing, and you know that's because there are more PS3 owners on this forum then there are 360 owners, which you failed to mention.

...

Well, if you have never played a PS2, I would go with the 80 gig PS3. For a few reasons.

It's a better HD movie player then the 360, and you has some interest in that.
the number of 360 (and bc xbox) games in laughable if you include all the great PS2 games
You have a PSP, and that improves what the PS3 means to you. Remote play, DL games, and Blu-Ray movies can be transfered to your PSP.
The PS2 games look better on a PS3 then they do on a PS2 due to upscaling.

The other option is to get a PS2 and spend the rest turning your PC into a better gaming rig. Most of the good 360 games can be played with a better experience on the PC, with the right hardware.

The series is commonly held to be the second best platformer ever after Mario.  All of a sudden when Rare decides to innovate, its looking mediocre?  Even though all everybody has been going on about this generation is how great innovation is?  Even though most people that went hands on with the game said it looked awesome?

But trust me YOU like JRPG's

PS2 has THE best JRPG's with Persona 4 coming out this year also all of them for £20 or less...

Many games don't play? That is very good to know. The blu ray player would be more so that I dont feel like I wasted my money on an HDTV- Wii barely looks better XD

@Hawkeye

as I said 95% of the games play....

all the JRPG's play for example n all the BIG & HUGE hit games play
