but his most wanted game, MK, is nowhere to be found

I don't get this...

T2 was able to ship 11 million copies of GTAIV across 2 consoles... I repeat. 11 million.

Why is Mario Kart short? Please someone explain it to me.

 It's the one glaringly obvious difference.  Sometimes the answers to questions are the most simple ones, but I suppose conspiracy theories make more sense to you, right?

 You're not making much sense to me.  How is SSBB at all comparable to MK Wii?  MK Wii is sold only with a bundled peripheral, SSBB is not.

  And consider that the wheel that it's bundled with is also manufactured to be sold without the game, so not all the supply goes towards shipping the game.  Nintendo has had shortages of peripherals at several points along the Wii's life.
