Its very early and theres next to no information, but Take-Two still said it! And I'm deffinately excited now!

Bioshock 3 announced

Bioshock becomes a trilogy.

Speaking to investors in a quarterly financial conference call today, Take-Two Interactive chairman Strauss Zelnick has confirmed plans for a third Bioshock game, according to IGN. The third game is set to coincide with the release of the Gore Verbinski directed film version of the game series.

This happened towards the end of the financial conference call, when Take-Two was asked when the Verbinski film will hit theatres and Zelnick responded "It's unlikely the picture would be released coincident with BioShock 2. It's more likely it would be released coincident with BioShock 3."

Bioshock 2 was only officially confirmed a few months ago, but now it seems that Bioshock fans have plenty of reasons to get excited. More details on Bioshock 2 & 3 are probably a while off, but once we find out more we'll report back.
