Forums - Sony - So Who's Buying Little Big Planet?

Pre-ordered and getting it the moment I can. Though I doubt it will have any midnight releases. My biggest thing about it is making my own crazy levels and running through them, plus the game actually looks rather stunning.

Not everything has to be shooters and GTA rip offs. :)

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

Wow I never realized how much of a impact this game had on people, but better then Metal Gear Solid?...maybe I should buy it.... I better do some more research (cracks the fingers)

Watch this video to get a general synopsis of what the game is all about.

And watch these to get an idea of some of the cool stuff you can do with the game:

Here's a video showing a cool level focused on scaling a tall tower via rotating wheels and levers:

(I can't seem to find the original video on gametrailers or gamespot though.  The gamespot video was much more in-depth and explained the level better)

And here's a video showing the youtube-ish online system:

Hope these get you excited. ^^

I'm definitely getting LittleBigPlanet.  I've always had interest in the game, even before I picked up my PS3 and was playing with my former Xbox360.  Near-limitless customization and the fact you can assign one of 8 "brains" to your inanimate objects to make them into enemies should allow you to make some interesting scenarios for your levels.  I just hope eventually they add liquids and possibly weapons.

All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be.

Sorry but I couldn't watch any of the videos for some reason everytime I opened them quick time opens and then shuts down explorer???, I seen the youtube video that one looked interesting. I already seen two trailers of LBP at GDC. And well maybe I just won't wait for the greatest hit's version like I said earlier, if ebay has one cheap then i'll definitely consider buying it.

And also |_emmiwinks makes a good point how everything doesn't have to be a shooter and (I strongly agree on this one) GTA rip off.

You can't help but root for the underdog, GO PS3!

End of 08' Sales

Wii:                      39.56

Xbox 360:           24.75

Playstation 3:     20.58

yep, day one here - creating stages together with 3 friends? hell yea

So I just want to ask another quick question, is there a certain objective in the game or is it just free roaming looking for object's to take and make obstacles with?, or is it one of them games where you just try to get from the beginning of the level to the end? (like the early Mario games)

oh, me too

I probaly won't, I just don't think it will be that fun.

I also predict average reviews and low sales for the game.

this game has already caught the minds of people, i think its a matter of accessiblity for all players casual to hardcore for this to be a success.
