i tried the demo...it looks amazing. lots of building damage and great lighting. Otherwise the shooting seems a little hectic and not as good as COD4 like someone previously stated.

Tried the demo, it is quite fun, though as said elsewhere hectic, and a little confusing, though I would like to have had some experience driving a tank or chopter. On an SDTV the mini-map is too small and I could not really tell what was on on there. Also, can you control your squad at all?
The game is still only a rental, especially as the online was essentially unplayable. There was a huge amount of lag, and I literally emptied an entire clip into a player who was just standing still. I felt completely out of control constantly and seemed to be slipping backwards and slipping through buildings, it was terrilble, though I hope they get this sorted out for launch
The game is horrible. It's an insult to the Battlefield games on the PC and doesnt even compare to CoD4 on 360.
Had to change my sig to get some moderator to quit bitching about it......
I tried the demo and i have problem with multiplayer mod. I can't connect to the EA Online. Somebody have this problem? This is sick.

Well I could connect, but it was so laggy and unresponsive I could basically not play. It barely worked at all
Not tried online yet but will give it a go soon.
I'm a BF2 fan so the online has a lot to live up to. Single player game had some ok elements but didn't really feel like a Battlefield game!
Doubt I will buy it, rather get BF3!

No connection problems for me, so I got to experience the game as it was intended. A pretty good demo that has way less bugs then BF2 did when that one was originally released on PC. I don't really see why people compare a vehicle based shooter to COD4 though, they are worlds apart. I haven't seen many pc gamers compare BF2 to COD4, I wonder why console gamers assume two different games are essentially the same while a single glance would spot they obviously are incomparable.
Anyway, tanks are somewhat harder to drive while helicopters are a million times easier to fly. Had some issues taking down enemy soldiers from the gunners position of a tank while moving. It could very well be my lacking experience with the controller for these types of games though. I usually play racers on console and FPS on pc. Nonetheless, whatever excuse I may use....I simply missed.

I played the MP for a couple hours yesterday. It was lag free with no connection issues. I was generally confused about what to do for the first hour but I started to get the hang of it. I thought it was pretty good. It's a cross between Warhawk and COD4. But it isn't as good as either.
The aliasing is pretty bad on the PS3 version. The cutscene where they were calling for air support in the demo was really bad. My gun was mostly jaggies.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.
Two threads for this game. When I was playing yesterday, I had some lag issues. Everyone I was playing with said they were having the same problems. I hope they can fix it before its release.
