And only recently have the games started to take up 4-5GB of space. When you only have 40 GB of space to do with, where you can also keep stuff from the PS Store (demos, games, trailers etc.) and music, losing all that space to a single game starts getting annoying. Especially, when you know the developers don't have to use installs of that magnitude. I am perfectly fine with developers using the harddrive, but not to put 2/3's of the game on it.
Uncharted didn't have an install, but Devil May Cry 4 did. And yet, you never saw a single loading screen in Uncharted, where as they were all over the place in DMC4.
It all comes down to the developers, but this is starting to get out of hand. Use streaming for gods sake! Ask Insomniac how they do it, those guys would probably love to have you in the Nocturnal project!
