I played the game 5-6 months ago and could not remember the name. But i just went to the other room and grabbed the box and now i see that its called Phantom Hourglass. The Zelda game was Ok at the start but once i got to ending of the second temple on the third ocean i stopped playing becasue i did not want to do the time temple again. it was by far one of the worst things in gaming. The Orange box OK, the moving of objects for the puzzles got very boring and there were several of them and they were quite long. The Driving parts in the game were also very bad, the cars and the other vegicles handled like crap. The game also had long boring parts that added nothing to the game. Portal was good but very short. and TF2 was not my style of game so i only played it once. |
i think you should atleast pass those early temples, the later ones will be very awesome

...because he's a troll. Even if he truly believes SMG is average or terrible, it's trolling. I don't stroll into a Final Fantasy thread and preach to the masses how terrible I think those games are because I don't enjoy them or that type of gameplay - it would just be me laying flame bait.
That and the controls and camera in the game were excellent. I don't know what game he played. I do share some of the same sentiment with regards to Episode 2, but I think I felt that way about most of HL2. I think FPS's in general have worn on me, and I find them unenjoyable.

I find the problem, you haven´t finish SMG, the first stars are the most boring, but when you get the star 60, all is getting more awesome. |
The level i stopped on was a big area with water and i could not get mario to do what i wanted him to do. The camera would also never focus on what i need it to focus on. It was also very hard to get mario to land on top of the bad guys, i could never seem to get the camera at the right angle to see where i was going to land. So most of the times i was forced to shake the wii-mote to do the spin attack which only worked about half of the time becasue i could not judge how far the bad guys where from me.
But next time i'm at the guys house who owns SMG i will play his file on the the other levels, or ask if i can borrow the system since he has not unpacked it since he was at my place with the system a couple of weeks ago. He got my wifi working for the wii/PS3 and we went on the store, i was surprised just how many older games it had. But the wiiware thing was very lacking.
| Griffin said: Both games were average at best and don't deserve what they were given. GTA4 is just an upgraded GTA3 and fails to match what VC and SA brought to the table. While SMG does not really bring anything amazing to the table either, it suffers from bad controls and a camera that never seems to focus in on what you want to see. The basic Gravity gameplay was already done before and the banjo games as a whole are much better platformers. Even Ratchet on the PS3 this gen was a much better game. |
Oh bro, don't epic fail on me man. Please you are getting close to epic failure if you continue to argue this line of thinking. Opinions and suspension of disbelief can only extend so far.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.

Trolling? LoL, maybe you should spend some more time on the site before you throw around insults like that. My post was relevant to the topic and the other posters that posted how they felt about these games and their rankings. And talking about games is what we do on this site. You don't need to praise every game in all the threads you go into, as long as you are posting reasons why you felt certain ways about the game then there is no problem.
^thats why everyone has theyre opinions,no game is liked by everyone

How is what i posted an Epic fail, we have both played GTA4 and what i posted is very true if you have played all the games for extend periods of time. GTA4 has its moments of greatness but then it falls right back down again, GTA4 is not what GTA is about, its some sort of next gen hybrid that has forgotten its roots.
I also explained my problems with the camera and controls in one of my other posts. Banjo is still considered by many people to be one of the best platformers to ever grace a console. And have you played ratchet on the PS3? it was a great game, and by far the best game i have played this gen. Followed by bioshock, CoD4 when it works online, Oblivion and halo3.

You also don't need to come into threads about games you didn't even play fully (let alone a quarter of the way through) and lay flame bait. Who seriously comes into this thread and wants to read all these posts asking you to justify why you hate certain games.... over and over. I agree, it's fine to have an opinion even if it's not the popular one, but you could be descriptive outright about your discontent. It doesn't add anything to the discussion otherwise. Hell, I wouldn't have posted in this thread if it weren't for your ramblings and others asking what your reasons were. The topic at hand (which you helped derail) leaves little to discuss for anyone reasonable or not looking to stir up shit; two very good games are within tenths of a point in terms of average reviews points - whoopie.
