We've seen the result, GTA IV didn't drive nor boost PS3's hardware at all very much & continuously. I wonder what will MGS4 affect PS3's hardware sales, MGS4 has one of the best bundle that offer to customer at launch, it is very intensive & decent for both new & old customer. People always claimed that PS3 don't have a game that is intensive or good enough to buy it , I think this is the only title that is decent enough for attracting new customer beside FF XIII, not LBP or Resistance 2. So, would you buy it?

i'll stick with the ps3 i have, definitely buying mgs4 though.

No PS3 is not what I'm looking for right now and MGS series is just not my cup of tea.

GTA4 didn't boost the PS3's hardware AT ALL? Ha, what a hollow statement.

s0 what, GTA IV shifted an additional ~225,000 PS3s on top of the norm in the short term (i.e week before, week of, and couple of weeks after)? Roughly a third of that - 75,000, is what I expect MGS4 to do for the PS3 in the short term.


As for me I already have a PS3 and I don't intend to buy MGS4 atm.

Yes, but I think he mean that the effect can´t long, only 2 weeks.

I had a PS3 and sold it. I will not be repurchasing one for MGS4.

What a surprise? Maybe the sales would be the same as R&C & Uncharted, not likely to have 1 million for the first week.
