360 is multi-core so I really doubt the AI is using that much CPU. Even PC strategy games doesn't use that much. So I find that very hard to believe. Hopefully in the future we see strategy games using a full cpu core just for the AI.

There are strategy games that make a Core2 Quad crawl. So I think you got it wrong there.

There may be but not because of the AI. For example Civ4 3D engine isn't very good and use a lot ram than it really should. Still it's a ram hog more than CPU as with a lot of other newer strategy games. Some have even reached the 32bit 2gb limit.

I get the impression that you have an attitude with my post. If so please don't take it so personal.

If I can see something that is running in low resolution on my 20" PC monitor then I should have no problem seeing it on my 42" HDTV. Higher resolution equals greater details.
High frame rate makes the game look smoother. Higher frame rate and higher resolution is why consoles didn't stop with PS. Back in PS days you were lucky if a game ran 30fps.

If this is running 585p or 576p, either way, it's not HD. HD is defined as 720p, 1080i, or 1080p. The game may output at 720p, but if it's not rendered at one of those three resolutions, it's not HD.

That said, it could still look fine.

To tell the truth, even in this generation you can consider yourself lucky if your games play at 30 fps without stuttering every once in a while (except if you're playing Wii games by Nintendo, which seem to run mostly at stable 60 fps so far). This is why I think lower resolution is perfectly justfied for NG2, a game which really requires 60 fps.

Definitely, but the choice is baffling for something like Haze which struggles to maintain 30fps.  Why a low resolution and a low frame rate?

I guess they didn't know how to use PS3's potential, which as you said it's baffling, especially since it's a PS3 exclusive which even got delayed.

check it out.

Still want to compare NGS to NG2?

gametrailers have done it yet again.

they used a slow paced section from sigma, only using 1 wepon and only using basic strikes - CHECK YOURSELF AGAIN PEOPLE IN THE 2 VIDS.

why didnt they use multiple wepons like they did in gaiden 2 footage, gametralers also forgot to show sigma special moves especially the dragon blade level 3 special

poor videogame journalism again! from gametrailers

They use the extra lines of resolution for extra lighting. This was beat to death when Halo 3 was released. Nothing new. The lighting in Halo 3 is unmatched as a result of it.
