Forums - Nintendo - Ubisoft responds to Wii-owners upset with quality of titles

I think that guy might be bordering close to being retarted.

No no no, you didn't read well. Of course they are going to make games for the Wii, but mainly games targeted on kids and casuals.

Did you read Malstrom's article? It sounds like you commented without first reading it.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Which article. But does it matter? What you think Ubisoft doesn't want to make big money on the Wii? Of course they'll try to make as much as possible. But with different games than their games for the PS360.

''Hadouken!''

+1 to Ubisoft (for telling it how it is).

If "casual" games sell on the Wii, why would they make hardcore games, yes hardcore games do sell, but casual games become million sellers also, but cost tons less to produce. If you can produce a quality game and have it sell a million, but also produce shit and have it do the same thing (or more), which one would you do? I'd produce shit, and have it sell, cause it costs less to produce.

This is going to be the response of most, if not all, third-party publishers. As you can see, CAPCOM isn't really putting any effort into Wii support, except a few low budget games, and a last-gen port, the only game you're getting from them is Monster Hunter 3, which will be awesome, but not for everyone.

It looks like most developers are having the same stance as them.

This may be the first time that the market leader doesn't get all the third-party support (in terms of good games, not Imagine: Babyz )

@Ajax: Just read the Malstrom article I linked in the original message I posted in this thread.

@Everyone else: I looked around the Ubi forums a bit and noticed all of the mods there were found on Xbox live. So I'm not exactly sure what this means. Is this site the "official" forums or what? If I was running a game company I'd have a serious look at who I was hiring to perform a PR job on my official site. Not that the mod members have done anything wrong. They seem pretty level headed, but they are sending a pretty clear message to consumers with some of their topics which might not necessarily be Ubi's view.

Ever heard of market saturation? Come on DMeisterJ, you've been here long enough to not spout this trollish template bullshit.

Right right, I understand saturation.

But it looks like Wii Owners don't since they're buying these crap games.

That PS2 argument is so old.

PS2 wasn't marketed as a casual gaming system.  The Wii is.
