They should gamble and call the Wii 2 'josephine'

I think Just call it Nintendo 6. Six is also simple and easy to say and remember, plus, it drives home the idea that Nintendo is on its 6th home console.

or

Like the gameboy like which always kept the same name and just added pronouns. Like NES and SNES as well. The new one may just be called Wii generation 2 or something. Where it is still advertised and sold as 'Wii' but it is commonly known as the new Wii and the old one is re-branded as a 'classic' model or something.

Super Wii or Wii HD? <<< Do those names sound more catchy?

Honestly, I'd have to say that after seeing that, I like Wii-HD, or WiiHD or Wii HD. That would let customers know that it's the same old Wii, but optimized, more powerful, and High-Def. Like that it's the next leap. Hopefully, whatever it is, it will be at least 2x as powerful as the Xbox360 since Nintendo will likely lag behind in power in the next generation as well.

Or gamble even more and go with 'barbara'

I thought this was asking what we called our Wiis.

I think I named mine Colin.

Heh, nice reference. Mostly Harmless is I think my second favorite book in the series.

My consoles and the fates they suffered:

Atari 7800 (Sold), Intellivision (Thrown out), Gameboy (Lost), Super Nintendo (Stolen), Super Nintendo (2nd copy) (Thrown out by mother), Nintendo 64 (Still own), Super Nintendo (3rd copy) (Still own), Wii (Sold)

A more detailed history appears on my profile.

I just realized something guys. Why does Nintendo only allow us to contact each other through Wii numbers, when you can nickname your console? Why can't they just let us use the console's nickname to locate people.

I named mine Eastsid3. (to indicate which part of the Us I was birthed at.)

About the naming idea, it would be kind of dumb to call it the "N6", just because of the fact that one of their consoles had the number "6" in it which would cause a mix-up to the types of "non-gamers" out there.

I also think "Wii 2" would be to simple and kind of 90s. I also, wish Sony wouldn't name their next system the Ps4 as that would seem so dumb.

I think Nintendo would name it the "Wii HD" as they did with the "Gameboy SP" or name it "Wii Advance". "Uss" would also be ok, but wierd.

SuperWii

Wii enhanced...
Ultra Nintendo entertainment system

not sure if they'll keep the wii name, these are some names I came up instantly...

If HD is anywhere in the title, I'll vomit all over it.

I wouldn't mind a Super Wii or Ultra Wii or Mega Wii or Hyper Wii or Wii 2 or whatever. Or Wii 20xx, named after the launch year or something.
