Has anyone seen these screens? I just noticed this game tonight when I was flipping through GI. I'm in love with the art direction:

Seen it and love it as well, Rocket. I'm so glad that they're going to change things up with this iteration of PoP. The games were beginning to get stale, imo, and that's coming from a fan of the franchise.

All in all, love the art style, love that they're starting over with a new prince, love that they're going for a more freeform game, now I just need to see some Gameplay and I'll be all set for hyping.

Yeah, I was reading about it in GI and I like what they're doing with the game. They basically said that since Assassin's Creed came out, they're now allowed to change up the series and up the fantasy nature of the series because AC has the "realism" segment cornered for the company. There's a metal claw/glove that allows the prince to descend any wall unhurt. It looks pretty freakin' cool.

well i meant is i think it wuld of been better if they didnt make it cel shaded

If we were talking about a completelely new game it'd be fine with me. Yes, the style and the aesthetics is great. Beautiful I could say. But thats PoP we're talkin' about. And I was a fool expecting a REAL NEXT GEN PoP. I'm a fan of the series, and I believe that every part of the trilogy has its own separate identity. And, for now, I'm completely disappointed. Not that I won't play the game... I hope the gameplay will pay me back.

If anything, I think that art style is more "next gen" than the old art style. It's really demanding to do that kind of detailed cell animation.

Personally, I think it fits the series very well. Gives it a cool Arabian Nights feel.

I'm a fan of cel-shading and it is used to good use here
