Starcraft, and too boot, most Blizzard games, are very kind to systems in general. Starcraft, WoW, Diablo and a few other widely recognized and appealing games depend heavily on compatibility. Warcraft, in it's day, (and WC 2 of course), pushed the standards of PC graphics and AI but did all of this with very little strain on the system.
Blizzard games will always have low req's, especially the minmum ones.
Not everyone is as horrid at optimizing and as keen on bragging (for no reason) as Crytek, and thank god for that...
