Pre-orders are from stores... actual sales may be lower...

Remember the GTP5 one million pre-orders in Europe? It only sold 350,000 first week, and its a bigger seller than MGS.

Gran Turismo 4 - 9.4 million

MGS 2 - 5.56 million
MGS 3 - 3.97 million

mmmmm... Gran Turismo (and GTA) series is a bigger seller than MGS series. That is a fact.

 I still say it's nothing to worry about.  I mean look at Wii Fit. 

Wii Fit only had 250K week sales and it's outsold the PS3.

Retailers might just be uneasy this generation and underordering because of how much of a bath they might of taken with other really popular sony franchises that sold poorly.

If the hardcore fan can't find the game first week it's not like he's going to say "Screw that i'm never going to get MGS4!"

He'll just angrily write a few things online, be pissed for a week and then get another copy the next week.

Sarcasm. I thought the "or something" would give it away.

Maybe... and i know i'm giving crazy a lot of credit... he thought that would be the case back when FF and GT5 were rumored to be released late 08.

 I was talking prologue version. We all know only GTA beat the GT series in terms of sales.
