DS didn't get one neither, it's just so that people seem to ignore handheld facts, and as they take longer time to set up (for Others), I simply didn't.

this is a good argument for thirds party to develope more games for ps3 and 360

Do you realize that the third party with crappy games hold above 30 % of the Wii market??? This is a good argument to push more quality titles on the Wii...

Well, how about those good 3rd party games that have been released on the wii?

Okami: 0,11m sold

zack&wiki: 0,38m sold

Boom Blox: 0,21m sold

NMH: 0,33m sold

bully: 0,22m sold

Not too good. Of course there are few exceptions, like RE4 which sold over 1,6m and PES 08 with 0,6m. Guitar hero sells a lot, but that is a very casual title.

I can't stand when people post like this, without explaining anything and just leaving vague troll statements out in the open.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

How is it trolling when someone posts the sales of best(metacritic) 3rd party games?

Beacuse you put them out of context, in your words:

"Well, how about those good 3rd party games that have been released on the wii?"

You didn't care to explain, that even if they are good games, none of them were properly advertised, all of them are low budget games, and some are cheap ports, how can you compare good support to the PS3/360 with those games???

Wrong, some third party companies have already tried to make good quality games but sells were not got at all, compared to games like wiisport and other mini games titles, so they better stick to making low investments, there is no need to change the strategy, since most wii owners are non hardcore( (my neighbor has a wii and has no idea what Zelda is)).

Top 10 Third Party XBox 360 games in North America in 2008:

  1. Grand Theft Auto 4 (3,599,550)
  2. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare (1,551,770)
  3. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 (1,113,826)
  4. Army of Two (888,343)
  5. Rock Band (882,312)
  6. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (875,134)
  7. Devil May Cry 4 (690,059)
  8. Assassins Creed (643,385)
  9. Mass Effect (537,349)
  10. Burnout Paradise (448,853)

These 10 games represent over 45% of third party games sold on the XBox 360, all featured Massive marketing campaigns, and most are based off of well established franchises.

Top 10 Third Party Wii games in North America in 2008:

  1. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (1,063,388)
  2. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games (700,576)
  3. Carnival Games (468,385)
  4. Lego Star Wars: The complete Saga (441,243)
  5. Game Party (375,432)
  6. Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (338,268)
  7. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (325,525)
  8. Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (306,475)
  9. Dance Dance Revolution: Hotest Party (273,163)
  10. Madden NFL 08 (253,793)

These 10 games represent over 30% of third party games sold on the Wii, they all had some of the largest marketing campaigns for third party Wii games, and most are based off of well established franchises.

If you could look past your biases, you would realize that third party games are performing in the range that they're mainly because third party publishers are not supporting their games on the level they're for XBox 360 games. If Ubisoft spent the money on marketing No More Heros that they spent marketing Assassin's Creed (and Vice Versa) you would see these two games have inverted sales ...

Happy - Just curious where that list is from. According to the comparison charts here -

RE 4 for Wii and RE:UC are at nearly 1 mil and 600k respectively.

Your chart is saying that RE 4 has sold only 325k and Umbrella Chronicles 330k. Something has to be off on those charts.

Re4 and UC sold most of it's games in 2007.  While this is 2008 only.

gotcha. of course, tho, theyd sell more in the month of their launch moreso than half a year later =) that's like saying kids get taller as they get older =)

Shame on Nintendo! How dare they make good games that people want to buy!

 This is a bit silly.

Okami: 0,11m sold - not out in Europe, dev's expected 300K WW, could make that. The Ps2 version sold less, so obviously Ps2 doesn't sell 3rd party titles.

zack&wiki: 0,38m sold - dev's wanted 500K. Could happen.

Boom Blox: 0,21m sold - still selling a lot, could make a million.

NMH: 0,33m sold  Grasshopper's best selling game. Exceeded expectations.

bully: 0,22m sold - the 360 version was much better, yet failed to achieve 500K. This isn't really a quality title.

Now some good "quality" sellers

GHIII: 2.83M - great sales, on par with 360 sales, crushes Ps3's.

RE4: 1.65M - is outselling the GC version. Could make 2M - not bad for a port.

S&tSR: 1.40M - sells nice for a Sonic title. It surely made a lot of money.

RRR - 1.26M - awesome party game. Sure to have made heaps of money.

You could say the same about Ps3 in a way (of course not as drastical).

UT3 - failed to make 500K, which is sad for such a quality title.

Valkyria Chronicles - 130K, great game, but bad sales.

The Orange Box - 110K, even with the flaws it's a good game.

Some good sellers that don't "deserve" it.

NFS:C - 780K. Not really a good game.

K&L - 690K. Not heard a lot, but reviewers hate it.

Singstar - 420K, but awesome legs. May sell a million, and why does it deserve it any more than Game Party, again?

See, anyone can make a controversial list, not totally looking into the facts, and complain. I'm sure a lot of people would think of the above of proof that quality doesn't sell on Ps3, etc, but really it means that they didn't show it to the public correctly, bad advertising, wrong boxart, etc.

So please check on before complaining about stuff. You have a very valid complaint, but the way you presented it is wrong.

The cause doesn't erase the usage (or whatever it is in English)
