@Op your thread fails how dare you claim the sales analysts are lying on here. BTW: How many great exclusive games does the PS3 have out at the moment?

The PS3 AAA exclusive games are coming out soon starting with MGS 4 June 12. LBP and Resistance 2 November. FF XIII, GT 5, KZ2 and God of War 3 will be out in 2009.

no, it's not you. and no it's not "Shipped". Sony has a new policy about saying it is now Sold, not shipped. and besides VGchartz cannot count every PS3 sold on every country in the world. we only get info from the 3 main territories.

First, Sony has a new policy saying it's now sold to retailers (not to customers) which is the same as shipping.

Secondly, how would you expect Sony to be able to count every PS3 sold to customers in every territory then? They can keep tabs on everything they ship but not everything that falls into the customer's hands. I suppose they can create a tracking firm to track... oh wait a minute, that's why we have Media Create, or NPD, or even VGChartz, don't we?

As of March 31, 2007, Sony altered their reporting policy from manufactured units to sold to retail units.

This is stated in all their quarterly and annual financial reports.

1. No, it's still shipped

2. Info is recieved on basically every territory that is a factor. If there was only 3 territories the info wouldn't be consistent with shipping data
