I'll say Wiifit pwnt (or any software) a major console when 1 region of that software dwarfed the WW of any given console.

A good question is: Should Japanese developers start making games for Wii Board instead of PS3?

All the top JRPG's are going to the Wii Board thingy system

 This is why the post is significant.  Not only does the Wii offer a larger install base than the PS3 in Japan, the market subset for the Balance Board is even bigger.

That's a kick in the PS Pants.

I wouldn't say hardcore gaming is dead in Japan. Just hardcore japanese gamers don't like what US hardcore gamers like.

I mean, it's been all FPS mostly... which Japan sees as childish.

It REALLY isn't looking good for PS3 in Japan... but i wouldn't call it dead unless Final Fantasy doesn't move much hardware.

Right now i'd just say PS3 is in a deep coma.

How in the world do some of you claim the "death" of hardcore gaming in Japan so easily? talk about over exaggeration, Nintendo fans seem to be loving the "death of hardcore" gaming way too much for their own good.

America is ready to fall :) Well, except Mexico, nobody likes those kind of games, just soccer moms, well not even soccer moms :P (Who am I kidding, after US, Mexico will follow)
