Honestly didn't expect that to happen.
I wouldn't say hardcore gaming is dead in Japan. Just hardcore japanese gamers don't like what US hardcore gamers like.
I mean... what "Hardcore" franchises that have been released on PS3 have done well in japan traditionally?
I mean, it's been all FPS mostly... which Japan sees as childish.
It REALLY isn't looking good for PS3 in Japan... but i wouldn't call it dead unless Final Fantasy doesn't move much hardware.
Right now i'd just say PS3 is in a deep coma.
