Forums - General - In what order should Star Wars be watched?

Is this question really being asked? And are people actually saying A? Apocalypse confirmed!

So... are the Star Wars movies actually good?

I haven't watched them...

A. I want to see them all, but I would like to safe the best for the end. While the prequel-trilogy is decent, and III is most certainly spectacular, IV, V and VI are classics.

I just recently, (as in last friday) watched 4, 5, 6 and I understood everything that was going on. Worked fine for me, and I haven't watched the prequel 3 yet.

@ wow - Blasphemy, go watch them now... In the order of 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3

IV, V, VI and then stop, the new films are awfull.

4, 5, 6, and then either stop, or watch 2 and 3. If you're really nuts, throw a 1 in there somewhere.

4, 5 (twice), and then the last half of 3.

No Jar-Jar, no Ewoks, everybody wins!

Save the best for last, go with A.

I don't know why everyone bashes 1, 2 and 3. If you take them as competing with hundreds of other films, they were good films. Obviously nothing will touch the movie-equivalent-of-retro-ness of 4, 5 and 6, but the first three were well written and well made. What else do you want?

Oh, and B. It makes more sense, because actually 4, 5 and 6 make a coherent story arc and 1, 2 and 3 were sort of bolted on. They don't fit together all that well.
