Um GTA IV launched 6 million, not 4. MK is not even close to that amount and GTA IV is at 10 million. So when exactly is it going to catch up?

Completely illogical thread. GTAIV has been the highest hyped game of all time.

Hype = First week sales.

Fire week sales for GTAIV = best ever.

Where is the logic in your post?

WiiFit has done well, but the 'hype' sales are all but gone, now it's about viral spreading of the game... Hype no longer matters.

And someone said that Brawl had no legs?? WTF? Since when is selling more than 100,000 units after being out for 9 weeks having 'no legs'?

LOL hype sales not only in video games. If not, why would they need commercials for? Why Titanic became a million grosser and have more than 2 weeks of showing in cinemas if not for the hype around it? Do you know how many endorsed products and commercials Titanic have? And what the crappy Blair Witch Project? BAD MOVIE too much hype the movie sells. SEE? Even I remember these movies, its because of the hype. The longer the hype the longer the sales if the hype is gone the product will not sell.

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

I don't think you really understand the purpose of hype and its effect on sales then, especially in relation to video games.

We're not talking about movies here, hype works differently for them.......

I know that combined they finger MK all around, I meant insividually.

But, judging from the legs, the gap between the two games could be really, really smaller by years end. But I would need to see how much both are selling from here to a month to firmly stat that.

Ok. MK Wii will sell near the same as GTA IV. Gotcha.

As long as Wii Fit is sold together with the balance board it gonna have long legs..
