Hype = First week sales.

Fire week sales for GTAIV = best ever.

WiiFit has done well, but the 'hype' sales are all but gone, now it's about viral spreading of the game... Hype no longer matters.

And someone said that Brawl had no legs?? WTF? Since when is selling more than 100,000 units after being out for 9 weeks having 'no legs'?

LOL hype sales not only in video games. If not, why would they need commercials for? Why Titanic became a million grosser and have more than 2 weeks of showing in cinemas if not for the hype around it? Do you know how many endorsed products and commercials Titanic have? And what the crappy Blair Witch Project? BAD MOVIE too much hype the movie sells. SEE? Even I remember these movies, its because of the hype. The longer the hype the longer the sales if the hype is gone the product will not sell.
