Every generation the market expands, .. so i'll give a big "No shit" to the fact that ps1 and ps2 outsold the previous generations worth of nintendo consoles (plus the two in the same generation that weren't nearly market leaders).. we can expect it to happen again this generation too

PS2 sales:  117.6 (as I recall)
PSP sales:  34.06
Total:  254.15

The PS2 hit 120 million shipped in October 2007, it's closer to 130 now.

Yes it's already been covered, but for some reason the thread is still persisting on, I was trying to repost this, so we could compare them, and lock this thread for having too much failure.
So basically you felt like adding nothing to the discussion by proposing that we compare those systems, without mentioning whether it should be by raw sales, market share, or with some other compensation for increasing market size, fully aware that all these have been attempted earlier in this thread; then you post a conclusion that says nothing.
