Forums - Gaming - Anyone else starting to feel they won't need a HD console after all?

your point is not really valid to many people who are into gaming. quick example my pc is 4 years old and unable to run many games i mean cod4 no hope. with my 360 i walk into a game store and choose my game knowing it will play on my 360. if i was buying pc games i would have to check the specs to see will my computer run it. that is the difference to a lot of people who just like gaming without the hassle. 200 euro and youre done. anyway just my opinion as someone not really up to scratch on the tech end of things.

By the time the end comes pcs will look far better than consoles. YOu are forgetting that pcs advance while consoles stay the same.

It would make more sense to compare Armored Core 2 and God of War 2 with a PC game that came out in the same year respectively. This puts God of War 2 against Crysis...

PC hardware improves rapidly, while console hardware stays the same for several years and then makes a big jump forward with the introduction of new consoles.


he forgot to say that, you also must buy a new pc to play these games. pc gaming is close to being dead, it's time to move on.

Don't know if I want to do this. Reviewers said on normal computers it looked good but not better than many games out there and its not exactly the best shooter gameplaywise. So if I had a high-end PC rig this would be the first buy but for PS3? I don't know probably better to play Uncharted for the jungle feeling. ;-=
