I don't own all of those games, but I have borrowed most of them. I do play alot of games. Most of the time when I'm posting on vgchartz I'm playing a game. I beat about 5 games a week though. I still have about 50 left to beat. I started when I was 3 so that is 11 years of gaming.

Nintendo fans must desperately try to understand two concepts.
Those arent so hard .Just try it a bit.

1.Not everybody is interested in playing mascot-based games with basic colours all their life.It just doesnt appeal to everybody. Its not a question of the playability of the game being deep or not.Nintendo games have usually been quite deep, specially Miyamoto ones. But this kind of aesthetic and plot offering just receives some kind of repulsion by a good chunk of the core and hardcore adult gamers.

2.Some gamers ,and humanity in general, like to hear good stories. If you can play them is better still. And if you can play them with the highest graphic and sound quality possible that is the deal for many core and hardcore gamers.Nintendo doesnt offer anything as a story for its games just Mario saving Peach and battling Bowser or Link rescuing Zelda or Mario running karts over and over.

And finally and adding 1 and 2:when someone says you that he prefers "adult" games its not that he wants to kill people and beat prostitutes up.Thats only the stereotype you want to make of them. Its ,more usually than not ,some player for wich the reality-esthetics-plot and depht of the storyline means something, prefers something more realistic and akin to what reality would be like ... and just doesnt want to play over and over the mascot rescuing the princess or playing sports. They can do it once upon a time,I usually enjoy the Zelda series for example (although the repetition is getting tiresome from OOT to Tp nothing has changed),but that cant be their main console or entertaintment option.

Well ,those intelligent will get these. The other ,not so intelligent (Neos ,NJ5 .. resuming the usual suspects ) will just post some fake thing they made up or better found around the internet. They just only seem to care that Nintendo sells the most and that no one can disagree in the quality of Nintendo offerings by trying to spin-contort-twist the others words.

Metroid. Prime. 3.

Well my parents give me about $100 dollars a month, but I also make money of ebay by merchanting items. It's very easy. You just buy something and try to get it to sell for a little or sometimes alot more. I also do online surveys through cashcrate which get me about $40 dollars a month( more if I had the time to do more offers). Also most of my older games , are roms since I can't find alot of them anywhere. I'm not buying anymore games though until I beat 20 of the 50 I have to beat. Ps2,Gamecube,and Xbox games are so cheap you could buy about 20 games per hundred dollars. I also borrow alot of games from friends to play. I've been playing games more often now though. Half of my games I've played probably have been in the last year or two.

believe it or not , most games are made for kids, but adults do play them. Me, i prefer games that are made for 20 year olds in mind. I have have made the decision to at least try these games, leave it be. I might like them, most of you do.
i'm buying a ds soon.

Wait a second. I think we have a mixup here. Adult isn't really a good term for that, since all those Training games count as adult. The term you used is longer, but it actually makes sense. One looks like just trying to twist Nintendo as "kiddie", but what you just stated means "I like the games for this demographic".

I have no issue with that, so I'm glad you put it that way. It makes it much clearer.

Yet that brings us to the OP. Since that demographic still buys games, I don't think that type of game is in danger. If it drops, it would be the gamers' fault for not supporting it anymore.

Do you think Nintendo will be supporting that demographic at all? why i ask, 3rd party will jump ship believe it or not, but will they still be making the same type of games they are making now on the hd consoles?

What if they made them on the Wii, DS, and PSP, as well as the HD consoles. The thing is as I stated. As long as that demographics buys games for them, they will be made.

They will create games for new genres and old genres alike.

Same as it ever was...

Nintendo is going the right direction. But 3rd parties working on the Wii aren't. Seriously 3rd parties have been the downfall of Wii's likeability.

Except there are signs that third party publishers are taking the Wii far more seriously:

Yet your OP claims that Nintendo is killing off the HD consoles. The fact is that they are selling systems and games, even if the systems are not as much as the Wii's.

As for 3rd parties, since the HD consoles are still selling games, the 3rd parties are supporting them, with the games that you like.

Thew thing is that it's usually saturation or stagnation that kills a genre, not something growing in other demographics.
