Forums - General - Does Anyone play MMORPG's?

I played Star Wars Galaxies for a few months. I absolutely LOVED it. Not only because it put me into the Star Wars world, but there was so much stuff you could customize.

I had my own space cruiser, and I put a fountain, lowered it into the ship's floor, thus creating a hot tub. I put some nice candles everywhere, made a stage in the main room...I even made bedrooms in the basement of the ship.

I'd take off with parties of 20, and we'd all have fun cruising in orbit around different planets, or even venturing into deep space once in a while.

That is, until I let some idiot pilot my ship for me while I was socializing, and he decided to fly my ship right into a Star Destroyer that was in deep space. And no, I didn't have half my priceless paintings and decorations insured, hehe.

It was a very engrossing experience, it just got a little dull after a few months I guess.

I played Guild Wars for a while, but that got dull too.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Around the Network

I play RuneScape occasionally. I own a blue party hat on there :)

Unfortunately I do play MMORPGS. I started off playing Everquest like 7 years ago. I played it for 7 or 8 months and just got tired off the amount of time I had to play to level. Worst part was it was virtually impossible for me to solo and I was a level 32 or 33 Paladin with nice gear. I have since played, Rubies of Eventide, Asheron's Call 2, Guild Wars, Vanguard, and now I play Everquest 2. I have watched my best friend play WoW and to be honest the game reminds me too much of EQ1 in many ways, certain things that I hated about EQ1 are prevalent in WoW.

I like EQ2 a lot, but if I didn't play it my gamescore on XBL would be much higher. I have a level 70 Shadowknight, level 54 Beserker, Level 51 Swashbuckler, Level 26 Paladin, Level 26 Guardian, and a Level 25 Bruiser on EQ2. Thats not including the Level 22 Inquisitor that I deleted. So basically I like a good MMORPG, I just don't like the amount of time they consume. The only reason I play EQ2 so much is that I like the fact that I can solo at any level.

Just started Tales Of Pirates (it's free). I enjoy the experience, even if I'm not playing it too much now due to exams...
