Hope this is not shovelware like every other 3rd party Wii game except Zack and Wiki, No More Heroes, and Bloom Box

Good bet that it's not shovelware because there's no place to shovel from. According to what's on the IGN site it is only on the Wii.

If it weren't for the horrible art direction this game would be gorgeous.

Still, i'm amazed.

It looked as though the priority was getting visual effects and lighting in, since that is how their engine is based. Texturing would likely come after that.

Couldn't agree more.  I'm sure the texturing will become better as development continues.  Look at Too Human for example,  the demo at E3 2006 was horrible from what I heard but is now apparently shaping up nicely now though a few people, including me, still have some doubts.

Looks better then I expected and I like it's style, keeping an eye on this game.

Well, it's just another generic futuristic FPS but it's on the Wii and it looks nice. With the Wii remote controls, it might be the first FPS to get me interested since Goldeneye. The only thing I want more is at least a 4 players offline multiplayer mode.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

It's true that The Conduit has subject matter like alien invasions but the game technically takes place during present times in Washington D.C.  Also, originality doesn't matter as much in a game as execution and polish.  Though I am sure you know that Call of Duty 4 proved that.  I mean,  the only thing CoD4 had that seperated from other shooters was its modern setting.  The gameplay wasn't something that wasn't seen before.

I just realized that it looks like a mix between call of duty, and quake maybe?

Which is quite a nice combo by it's self but some of the aliens have a very HL2 feel to them. There is also a bit of UT -like weaponary in there. Some of the darker areas remind me a litte of AVP.

From that trailer I think it's got a little more...personality....then the more standard FPS games. Lets hope there are some interesting puzzles and the requirement for some basic tactics to go with the shooting side

The story does seem generic, I like the whole thing where he was using that sphere like thing to see hidden things on walls and objects (the conduit?).

FPS's on the Wii are just awesome to play though.

so who do you think will be the publisher?
