We have some openings for new contributors.

Just to be clear, I'm not really looking for more people to write editorials and analysis and the like, though I know everyone likes that kind of thing.

Rather, we're trying to expand our general news coverage and I need people who can write up press releases and the like as they come in and put them up.  If you're interested, post here and PM me and send a brief writing sample to news AT vgchartz DOT com.  I'll even offer some basic training.

Also we're looking specifically for those who own a 360 and/or PS3/PSP for more MS/Sony-oriented coverage.  Especially for 360/PSP reviews, since we're really light on that end.  If you want to do 360/PS3/PSP reviews email a sample review as your writing sample.

I need people who can write objectively so I will probably be glancing at your posting history as well.

Obviously these are volunteer-only positions.

I would love to do it. I own a 360 and a PS3. My only issue is that if you're looking for news, I usually get it from here. So I'll need a few pointers on where to look.

I'd also glady write press releases, and moderate forums; anything to give back to this site that I've grown addicted to.

EDIT: The writing samples, what exactly are you aking for here? I've never written a VG-orientated article, but if you want proof that I can write, I have multiple essays and things that I can show you. 

By the way, it would be very beneficial if any potential contributors had AIM, since the majority of the VGC staff uses that to discuss things.

Well, I suppose I could write the occasional review or editorial. I own all the current generation systems except for the PS3. I could maybe write some 360 game reviews which there seem to be very few of. And I could rant about whatever crosses my mind.

But mostly, I just want the power
