A good game, very good one, but not the best...

I must admit I am not a fan at all. I wouldn't even put it in a list of 50 best games of all time.

Top 3 favorite games: Super Mario Galaxy, The Sims 2 (PC), The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

it was a GREAT game, definitely in my top 10 but my fave would probably have to be either mario 64 or yoshi's island.

the nintendo wii will outsell the ps3 and the 360 combined by the end of 2008.

PS3 will out sell the 360 june 2010.

GOTY of 2008 is super smash brothers brawl.... hopefully.

END OF 08 PREDICTIONS:

Wii: 45 million         xbox360: 26 million       PS3: 19 million (made beginning of 08)

wii: 44 million         xbox 360: 24 million      PS3: 21 million (made june 08)

wii code: 8094-5344-2140-1400

brawl code: 5412-9565-3232

A Link to the Past is amazing. Today it's hard to see how great it was technically, but the strength of its story, the density of the map, and the quality dungeons still stand.

I play it at least every couple of years. It's still great.

I'll expand on my statement.

Zelda II kicks Link's Awakening butt up and down the street. Nothing can beat Zelda II, as it is one of the toughest games of all time that only a true master can finish. Unless you get the 0 sword and stomp all your enemies into the ground, but that is cheating and a glitch.

Also, It includes on command jumping. You can't jump in other Zelda games without walking off of things. How can any other Zelda game compare. There is the down-thrust, up-thrust, and loads of other cool moves. There might not have been bow and arrows, boomerangs and other fancy gadgets, but Link could whip but with all his fancy sword moves.

Anyways, Anyone who claims any game is better than Zelda II is wrong.

It's funny you confused Link to the Past with Link's Awakening, because Link's Awakening for the Game Boy actually IS the best Zelda ever.

And you can jump in it!!!  On command!

I've beaten The Adventure of Link, Link to the Past, and Link's Awakening.  Link's Awakening is the superior adventure.

I only played (and beat) Link's awakening once on a friends GB and now that you say it, I do remember jumping on comand. Now I don't have a good argument for Zelda II.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Zelda II is good, damn good, and is no harder then Zelda 1, especially the 2nd quest.

Back of there man... Zelda II isn´t even a Zelda game... its a third class jump and run adventure with the Zelda name on it... and its nowhere close to being as hard as Zelda 1... man Zelda 2 doesn´t even have a bomerang... and its jump and run... WTF ???

Zelda LttP is the best Zelda game to date... sure Zelda did a fine transaction to 3D but what was achived in LttP has never been done again... you can cry OoT all you want... compared to LttP it has a ugly style and brocken gamplay... LttP is the Monalisa of 2D gaming and the Monalisa of 3D gaming has yet to be made...

Too all who disagree here is a little quote from Samule L. Jackson for you:

"Yes they deserved to die and I hope they burn in hell !!!"

No way. I can beat Zelda 1 no problem any day either dificulty. Zelda II is definitely harder.

Great game but I don't think that it's the greatest game ever. I'm not the guy who plays nothing but FPS games but my favorite is one. It's called GoldenEye.
