So...just Pikmin 2? Will I miss out by not playing the first?

^ Pikmin doesn't really have any story so skipping the first probably won't be any problem. I think that Pikmin 2 is so much better then the 1st more action plus a really good multiplayer mode.

I have Pikmin 1 and absolutely love it, but finding the sequel is damn hard. My country's biggest online auction site has a grand total of 1 copy of it for sale at the moment, and it's already been bidden from 20€ to 30€. =/

Gotta go and look for it in game stores a bit more next week.

Well, I like the original Pikmin much more than the sequel. It has a better atmosphere, and is more balanced game overall. Exploring the tranquil distant planet is a great experience that should not be missed, I say.

The sequel, by comparison, is more or less a dungeon crawler with ridiculous bosses and a fucking impossible '0 Pikmin dead' goal. The monotony kept me from beating the game 100% (didn't lose any Pikmin though, and I did beat the final boss, which admittedly was pretty awesome). Still, treasure hunting in randomly generated dungeons = not for everyone.

Oh, and you probably should play the original first, if only to see how the levels have changed in the sequel. The first level is... Different, to say the least.

hi im back and sad now i just want zeldas final smash even though i knew it from day one i had some idea of what it was and im right yayz now i just want it to be an update and you watch it will be on the day before my birthday i would be so mad and happy!!!and im mad that zelda and sheik have the same final smash for some reason! but yayz!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!! LOL

Stickers as an ability booster in Single Player mode...... interesting mechanic. I'd say its a surprise at least...

Cool mechanic! SSBB rips off of JUS confirmed. I suppose since Jump Ultimate Stars is Nintendo's own franchise though no one can complain...

Yes. Absolutely yes you will mis out if you don't pick up the first one!!! The game plays totally different from the first in that you have 30 days to get the parts of your ship and blast off. It is a race against the clock challenge, and you will find yourself going back again and again to see how fast you can do it. Both games are awesome, and play them in order Ben. IMO

Also, it's Adventure Mode, not Single Player like everybody calls it...because it can be co-op!

@ Helios, I beat Pikmin 2 with 100% and 0 dead pikmin; it's not impossible. What is harder than that is completing all the challenges w/o losing any Pimin, but I managed that too!

Pikmin 1; I beat the game with only losing one Pikmin. That was as close as I could get to perfection on that game.

AHHHHH. Pikmin. What fun!
