He's made for RTS fans... *drools*

I would guess that p & o would be a nightmare to use on small maps, where you do not have time to gather your troops for battle.

Would be ideal for large maps though.

p & o, vs p & o, vs p &o, vs p & o looks 10 times more frantic and entertaining than 4 x pokemon trainer fight.

I was really hoping for Captain Olimar, Pikmin 1 and 2 are two of my all time favorite games. Those who have never played them have missed out. The two games also offer two unique experiences. Lots of fun!

Off topic BTW; but, here is hoping for Pikmin 3ii.

So now that Olimar is thrown into the mix; what other surprise characters will we see, if any more at all?

Mega Man?
de blob?
Simon Belmont?
Animal Crossing character?

Personally I would love to see the character from gamecube animal crossing. Throw furniture and gyros at people, whack away with fishing pole, axe, and bug net. Lot's of imaniginative potential w/this character, and with the appearance of an AC stage, assist trophy, one can only hope.

He is most likely a fast character. And look at how fast he plucks pikmin, in the screen two are still in air and he's pulling out the third.

Oh, here's an icon that hasn't been revealed yet. The Wii logo, for Miis!

point well made, but in a small map w/4 player like in battlefield or flatzone (gamecube) your oppenent can be in your face in a matter of moments. 

Overall, I am thrilled w/his being announced for this game. 

I have to confess I am stuck in a dilemna. Anybody else feel the same?
I really want this game alot. I have pre-ordered it from October and there still isn't a release date for Europe, so I really am anticipating it.
At the same time, I think that the more it gets delayed, the more polished it becomes. I am guessing that they are including stuff that wouldn't have otherwise been included before.
I feel this is the one game that will be played for years, nothing else will compare to it.
So what should I hope for?

-an early Europe release date

-a free japanese wii and copy of brawl

-a free american wii and copy of brawl

-the ability to march into the big "N"s headquarters, hold Miyamoto captive and demand the very first mint copy of the game; with no legal or detrimanetal consequences.

Oh man, I used to main the IC, so I can't wait to use Olimar. I love the characters that everyone thinks are useless until you know how to play them.

 I don't care what the haters say, I still want Tom Nook. Or K.K. Slider.

But what if the delay means more characters are added? or if the delay means something like online voice chat with your friends? or ....?
