I guess there will be somekind of logic in the partnerships. Diddy with Donkey was obvious, next there will be a odd one when changing partners and then it will be back to a logical one I think. The logic partner for Fox would be Falco or Krystal... neither have been confirmed though so everything is possible. Edit: So if my theory is right we will see Krystal or Falco before we see the next vid hehe. |
There is a bit more wrong with this theory than with the possbility of a Mario Galaxy stage. For instance, what about Mario and Kid Icarus. Don't you think it would be Mario and Yoshi according to your theory? Also, back to a prior post I made, what about Donkey Kong? what happened? Apparently there is a video that we are missing or some element not yet shown, so the cronological order does not really pan out either. It seems to be random intros of different characters throughout the storyline as Sakurai feels he can show them without unveiling too much unannounced information yet still supply a decent update. Though it makes sense that he would show Diddy entering only after Diddy had been introduce to the mission, it is simply editor's choice that he chose to put this particular scene showing Diddy entering from jungle after seeing the video of Donkey and Diddy together. For all we know, there could have been 5 other videos showing different characters in between the Donkey and Diddy video and this one, and this is the next one that showed Diddy again in the storyline.
You would have just as successful a time if not moreso to argue that Mario and Kid Icarus originated their popularity from the NES and therefore it makes sense that they meet. Seeing Mario, Kirby, Peach, and Zelda all in the same initial scene also would make sense in this regard, even though it is the Twilight Princess Zelda. Then Diddy and Fox could be from the SNES where they were born. Though this seems to be even more fitting with the evidence so far, as well as has that nostalgic approach that you said Smash Bros was all about, than your theory, it sounds almost ridiculous nevertheless. We just don't know enough information yet to make any theories on this matter.
