What is Volt Tackle? It’s Pikachu’s Final Smash!

That pretty much describes it. You don’t need an Electric Ball to unleash it, but you do need a Smash Ball.


Volt Tackle is unleashed! Pikachu transforms into a ball of light.


You can now control that ball of light for a brief period.
Hunt them! Hunt them down!


It’s quite speedy while airborne. This...can be dangerous.

It flies through the air wildly, so take care not to lose control.

If it gets cancelled in midair, something terrible will happen.

Ah... This doesn’t look good.

Sounds like when it cancels, you can't move anymore...so you gotta make sure you're over a platform.

It seems like an expansion of Pikachu's up B move, with more freedom. Interesting. Tommorow, they will probably show Kirby's Final Smash.

Very cool looking move. Next update in about 11 hours! (3AM for me, and I stay up every time lol).

And with the minor issue of Pikachu actually flying with the blast instead of staying put. =P

The updates come at 10.00 for me, so I actually have a reason to get up early on my holiday. How nice of Nintendo.
