@Wiigirl, why did you buy Japanese Wii? Do you speak Japanese? I have Japanese DS phat, but I can play  online with american. Maybe it's the same with Wii.

I am pretty sure that's the case. But today i had a problem with Mario Strikers. I tried to play with Neos and it said that we're not on the same region (even though we are) so maybe Mario Strikers doesn't let you play worldwide :-S

I speak some Japanese yes. Since the past 4 years I buy nothing but Japanese games, for the language, voice actings and of course releases which are not here yet or will never be released and... for virtual console games!

DS is not region protected, like the WII is, DS is region free for all games all over the world and therefore usually also for online play. I can play with a JP DS game with my friend who has a US or EU version for that matter. When I play Picross online I come accross a lot of Japanese but also even people with Dutch names, so really worldwide.. and that without friendcodes.

I sure hope those images aren't photoshopped...

Wario still seems kind of small in the game...

But I'm guessing there's no shadows sometimes because of the debug program they use...maybe it's still too early for them to have shadows in each level...I dunno.
