Well they didn't announce the release date through the website...

The really big stuff for games has always been announced by Reggie or whoever at Nintendo events...online play for Brawl would be announced at TGS or something similar, and then would be confirmed online simultaneously.

Unless they really want to surprise us by announcing on the website first...but getting that kind of news out publicly, for those who don't check the site, is definitely more effective...

And pretty good update...don't really know who that is...but that's half the point of these assist characters I suppose...putting out characters that have been forgotten or buried...

I am almost certain Knuckle Joe have appeared in almost every game, you get the Fighter ability from him.

P.S. Rising Break is also known better as Shoryuken

Just a fighter charecter from Kirby, I can guarentee he's one of the opponents in the Megaton Punch challenge in Kirby Superstar, and I know he's wandering around some levels, but can't say any other games for certain, minus that he's not in Dream Course.

Damn it, when i saw his name i thought Punch-Out,  maybe a Little Mac opponent as an assist trophy. Nevertheless, he looks fun  to appear.

Yeah i thought that. But look at the bottom picture, is that sonic getting smacked? just blurred him out not to reveal that its really him yet?

Although I guess now all we need is for someone to put this on their blog, then n4g reports it, and it all goes downhill from there.

The bottom picture is the reflection of knucle joe... the other picture, is yoshi, meta knight and a cloud of electricity.

Cool update, and my favorite of the week. I love these assist characters.

I'm really debating whether or not I should stop checking these updates so I can be surprised some when I ge thte game.
