Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I dunno, wavedashing isn't so bad...I don't do it around my friends too much...maybe in the new game, it won't work quite the same...

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I really wish Arthur from Ghosts n' Goblins or Simon Belmont from Castlevania were thrown into the mix.

Simon Belmont would rock.

I somehow missed this interesting article:

Since I only played the N64 version, can someone tell me what wavedashing is?

Seeing them listing Simon Belmont, among others, is reassuring, since IGN's pretty smart on these things...then again they could very well end up flat out wrong.

One thing I do agree with for sure is the Miis...it's so obvious, how could they not put Miis in. Oh man...

This game is going to ROCK.

Wavedashing is running forward, then jumping up+forward, and then immediately pressing "shield" in mid-air, which makes you do a dodge, down+forward.

If that is done on a flat surface or uphill, and done very fast, within milliseconds of each other, you'll essentially just slide along the ground quickly. If you do that a couple times a second, you'll get from one place to another very quickly...easily dodging people or catching them by surprise, etc.

This video is pretty good for explaining all those silly pro-gamer terms in Melee.

Oh man...the guy making that video is such a nerd...haha.

I don't flaunt these "advanced techniques" over other players...I hardly wavedash at all. I just know how to do them and use them occasionally.

Like Samus's bomb jump helps me survive many times...and the extended grapple beam is just a fun easter egg that I mess around with sometimes hehe.
L or R + rapid left and right on the D-Pad + A for extended, homing grapple beam! Yes!
