If some of the above people are correct I must say I am ASHAMED of SONY

what a CHEAP move..."oh we'll predict it low n then raise it later to make Ps3 look like its pwning"

I agree it's cheap, but sadly that's the way this world works.  Just remember though that it's not just Sony doing stuff like that.  MS took the huge RRoD hit a year or so ago to be able to report profits now, and Nintendo isn't even trying to raise production enough to satisfy demand because the longer their console is sold out the better they look.

Reasons like these are why I never trust official statements.  I want to see audited financial statements beforeI believe anything from a large company.

yes because Ninty wouldn´t want to be selling even more so they could look even better.

Please post more of this nonsense so I and others can laugh hard at you!

There you go RAZ red the bright read font. I was right yet again and you were wrong.

Add in the Zunes and Games for Windows into the mix and you have yourself a nice inflated number for the 360.

You said they didn't include it in the games division...BUT.THEY.DID.

I was right and you were wrong. You see kid...theres no shame in asking for your dads help, you wouldn't post wildly inaccurate info if you did....UNLESS HE'S AS ILL INFORMED AS YOU ARE.

Yeah Zune and GFW count for a little bit, but then i'm including PSP, PSone, PSX and PS3 sales in those figures too rather than any individual revenue so it's all even.

It comes with the territory. Now that PS3 has lost the console war, the winners get to re-write history. Like when People used to say Sony invented rumble....only better.

In thatcase Halo 3 was the worst FPS ever and a huge flop/ It stuck the final nail in the coffin of the 360 that sold anemically the entire generation and finally died when there was no sales boost with the game.

Just don't shoot your mouth off about stuff unless you have at least checked the bare minimum of facts. Dual analog existed a generation before the Xbox.

I asked a question. The question was more or less making their gaming division look more profitable. WHICH THEY DID.

There is no need to be a condescending ass hole. You can support your arguements without insulting. Unless you are just too immature.

Actualy, Nintendo is planing to raise production again. 2.4m/month is the number being tossed around.

After they raised it from 2.3/month a while ago.  If we're lucky they may soon hit 2.5 per month.  They're only making these token increases to be able to say they're trying to meet demand.  The reality is that they want the Wii to stay sold out because it makes their product look even more popular than it already is.

Umm, no. Research, please. According to Nintendo financials, hey were still at 1.8m a few months ago.

And if you're anything like the average fanboy, your next question is "Why don't they just raise production now??!!1" Because they can't. The system is manufactured by several different companies, who are all under contract to produce a certain number of components. Raising production requires finding new vendors (not easy) or renegotiating wth your old ones (also not easy). It's not a mater of pushing a button orsigning and a check and "Vola! More
Wiis!"

Sony originally announced it would sell 14.5 million units last fiscal year. Only professional analysts and Sony fanboys believed them.

I think Sony will cut-prices everywhere worldwide, before the holiday season of this year, 'cause I think chances are great Microsoft will cut-prices and I think Sony will react with it's own price-cuts before december

Actually, since not every 360 shipped up to that time had died, it made their division look less profitable than it actually was as they had recorded a loss which hadn't been spent yet.

History lives on in our children and history is written by the victors. Microsoft invented the dual analogue stick. The first DVD based console was the Nintendo Gamecube.

When PS3 gets out of third then you can say something, the next few years are ours.

Do you know why? Because the God of the Israelites said it is our destiny. And you can't argue with destiny...or God.

I think their predictions are low because they stuffed the channel last year. It's the same thing MS did.
