Forums - Gaming - Kojima "ZOE" high on priority list

2nd one is called ZoE 2nd runner, you use Dingo as your new Jehuty Pilot and you do bump into Leo Stenbuck (the old pilot) after the big explosion in the first they find the Orbital Frame in the ice caps on one of the moons of Jupiter I believe but pretty much one thing leads into another and within the same day that Ex-Aumon Pilot Dingo finds the Frame he's killed.

3 months later he's revived, by a turn coat within Newmans organization and boom you have the rest of the story that takes place within about 3 days.

Jehuty farts blue ice?

Anyway ZoE 2nd runner had a wicked story and an amazing combat engine. However AI has NEVER BEEN A BIG PART OF THE GAME!

I don't have a clue what that last guy was on,

Most enemies were pretty dumb, the mid level enemies were routine but annoying as they worked in groups. (Pretty much they were set to be offensive.)

The bosses were hell of scripted - I don't understand where someone comes off with (THe AI can only work wid teh CEll and Blu-RAY!)

I wouldn't mind seeing ZOE 3 going PS360. But let the PS3 be the main developing console...

if ZOE series were on ps2 then why 3rd one couldn't be on a wii which is much more powerfull system than ps2?

Because you touch yourself at night. Also because kojima stated that he wants to continue making"core" games so with that assumption hes going to develop on "core" systems. I hate this whole "core vs casual" terminology because i veiw more as competive players and non competive players but thats the term kojima himself used. Putting a "core" game on wii makes as much sense as puting a jrpg on the 360, not much.

 Yet it happens... a lot.

The only reason i could think for not putting in on the Wii is that it's a pretty niche unknown franchise.  Though honsetly it doesn't make sense to make such a niche game so early in the generation until you can get some consumer feelers out there to see where said market is.

AI?

Have you ever played any of the other ZOE, your post smells ripe with anger.

How about multiplatform, I doubt he's going to do that but maybe.

All I know is this is supposed to be his last Metal Gear, and that a few other developers were shreding him for his quote on why he was making this Metal Gear.
(The whole filling up the disk space on blu-ray thing)

But I doubt that influenced his decision making on saying he was going to make his next project on the Wii.

1. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=140020&site=psw

Then his entire thing with Suda 51 and them working together on a Wii project which may be a mix between no more heroes and zoe or something totally different or it could just be Snatcher as Suda did hint towards that.

But it's not like Kojima to work on two things at the same time.

Taking a second look it's probably Snatcher for the Wii and ZoE may be a toss up.

I guess it all depends on what the man is looking for in his next game.

I won't go into analyzing the mind of Hideo Kojima in fear of the Kojima Army's retaliation of simplifying his immortal methods.

No, just disgust. And I know that the first two ZOE games weren't big on AI. It was just a hypothetical.

I'm just tired of the insistance that any game moving up to the 7th gen will be magically ruined by the Wii's visuals. Some could argue that the muddy visuals of the HD systems will lost the color of ZOE games, all those browns and grays. It's not really true, but neither is the line about Wii visuals.

I disagree... somewhat.  This generation is strange and unpredictable.  Things that might never have been even considered last generation are so this one.  What may have been niche last generation could become popular in this one.

Monster Hunter, on the spectacularly selling PS2, niche.

Monster Hunter, on the merely good selling PSP, hit.

Also, it's not as though the CoD series was niche before, but suddenly turning into a monster hit franchise with 4?

Oh, and an edutainment game selling more copies than Grand Theft Auto III. Who'd have thought that?

I'm not surprised Grandma is playing games; that is long over due.

What surprises me?  When I goto LAN parties and there are a bunch of people playing WiiSports or Game Party.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

For the record ZoE has been Cell Shaded since day 1, so muddy textures shouldn't be a problem if they stick to high detail models with cell shading.

Honestly Kojima learned how to code on the PS3 I don't see him just wasting that and shifting ZoE on the Wii, but he pisses me off with such arbitrary contrives and pathetic attempts at being incognito about everything.

I don't care where ZoE comes out - PS360Wii, it doesn't matter - what matters is if the game attracts more gamers to that niche.

If I were in Kojimas shoes I'd be looking at that before I push my publisher for a system.

I'm still annoyed at how Jade gets so much credit because every 13 year old gamer is also horny for a video game chick that understands them.

Yes I know random XD Actually not so because while posting this I was refferencing Kojima interviews and bumped into the one with Shigeru and Jade.
