I'm pretty sure you have to buy a microsoft 360 HDD you can't just buy a random HDD( that's where they catch you and make back their money).

It doesn't. The 360 HDD is in its own enclosure at the top of the unit. It's a user replacable item.

well the last pricedrop here in europe( 130$ down from 550$ here in sweden) from didnt help the 360 so much, dont think this will either.

but many Europeans might think because the PS3 is more expensive and looks more stylish (from the outside) and is newer will be a better deal in the long run, cause if MS makes the difference with the available PS3's too great offer-wise, it might come over to many potential buyers as 'outdated' or on it's retour.. if you know what I mean.. but on the other hand, I might pick up one now, for the heck of it.. and there are some games that I might actually really enjoy..

Otherwise yes I won't deny it's a sweet offer I just find it a bit tricky for Microsoft to act that way because you know there is a decent percentage of the people that buy arcades that will be in for a mean surprise the day they realize they need a HDD for GTA4 DLC or other stuff and realize they don't get a choice they have to buy the Microsoft proprietary HDD and that one is highway robery....
