Forums - Sony - Tales of Vesperia PS3 Confirmed in '08

This thread is making me so depressed, Japan is making me so depressed. I've got a PS3, for WHAT??!!! To answer the question again if you like this generation... no I HATE it. WIth the PS2 it was so easy, one RPG came after the other, you hardly had time to finish one or the other one came already and now...? Its begging for RPG's!

Um...why?  It was obviously a mix up on Namco's part (similar to their Eternal Sonata mix up last year), but it will probably make its way to the ps3 in '09 sometime (much like Eternal Sonata this year).

Either way, Tales of Vesperia in '08 just ain't gonna happen.

thats good news it sell very for the 360 i cant imagine how it will sell for the ps3

ROFLOL...timed exclusives work very well, jsut ask thte PS2 about GTA...suckers!

It's funny, when a PS3 exclusive becomes multiplatform, Microsoft must have paid them off. When a 360 exclusive becomes multiplatform, Microsoft paying them off must have failed.

Perhaps Sony failed to pay enough to keep their exclusive from going multiplatform and Sony paid for the 360 exclusive to go multiplatform...?

According to the release schedule of Namco games on Bandainamco.co.jp (The official Japanese Namco site). The list is for '08 releases and it is in Japanese. So another timed exclusive that MS moneyhatted Namco for (like Eternal Sonata, Ace Combat 6).

Right, but where is Eternal Sonata and Ace Combat 6 on PS3? Those are really long "timed" exclusive.

More or less one year ,Eternal Sonata arrived end june last year and will arrive in september this year on PS3...it has had some developing problems that have delayed it a couple months.

Ace Combat 6 arrived end october ...so it could appear in december in PS3.

These timed exclusives are a bad idea for Namco. They are selling not very good numbers on the 360 and when the PS3 version arrives its already old and people are more interested in newer games. If they are selling 100K on the 360 and the PS3 will sell another 100K LTD its not a good deal. They could make 250K-300K on the PS3 and additional 50-60K on the 360 if they released day and date. But I guess thats where MS moneys enters the equation ,oferring them more than those 150K units they wont sell.MS money ,warping the market as usual.
