@Zen: If ED2 ever comes out, it's going to be exclusively on Nintendo platform, unless Nintendo sells the IP.
Of course, Silicon Knights can make a non-Eternal Darkness game, which use similar storyline, happens in same locations etc. for the other platforms too, but not a game which name is "Eternal Darkness" or have the sanity meter in it.

I too doubt there's any sort of "hatred" or anything similar. The financial decisions just left SK to abandon GC.

Not all GC owners are Wii owners, but Wii anyway is the most propable platform where GC owners upgraded. In the other hand, ED sold around 500k(?), which the sequel would propably outsell on any platform, since the people who bought it, have been giving great feedback about the game ever since its release. Just look at all the hype around Too Human. Wonder where it comes from.

I would buy it day 1 - the first was awesome, and could be made even better with better graphics and controls on the Wii.

The Wii seems to be accumulating a fair amount of survival horror games, I'm loving it

What's Eternal Darkness like? Resident Evil?

I have yet to play Eternal Darkness, but I heard its quite good and do plan to buy it, hope the sequel is true

SK is making a survival horror game with sega to be released late 09 codename The Crucible
they will probably use some of the concepts from ED in that game it will probably be a spiritual successor of ED

I started the first one but never finished it. The game was good but I had to put it down because of finals and I never picked it back up. I would go insane on purpose just to see the crazy crap that would happen. I will have to start playing it again.

Try to define what kind of game is Eternal Darkness is something difficult.

In gemaplay is like a mix of RE/Alone int he Dark/Silent Hill but with something very original and a clear mark of the game:The sanity's bar,this bar changes  as your character performs "bad situations"on the game,like be seen by a monster and another things,when the bar is lowering your character will suffer from a wide kind of hallucinations,and your HP's bar would get down faster,the history is convulsed and great,a very good game.Try Wikipedia if you wnat to know more of ED.

It was one of the few titles that I play in my cousin's Gamecube till the end,and I enjoyed every minute of the game.

It clearly deserves to be a sequel on the Wii.
