It's because the Japanese games are rare and they don't have a big name behind them. It would be like a console in America having only what Americans consider obscure games with an occasional FPS title that can't exactly stand up to Halo or CoD.

 I though they were originally part of enix before the merger, but I did check on wiki, so they are indi, but anyway, don't they have close links with SE at the least?

 

Anyway, this will give a larger boost than the others, but it is not exactly going to set the world on fire

In Japan, names don't get much bigger than Sakaguchi.

I haven't played FF7:CC yet and I don't plan on it. I really didn't like FF7.

As for The World Ends with You, it was co-developed so SE doesn't get full credit but it's supposed to be a very good game.

Anyway, when's the last time SE made a console RPG worth playing? I thought the KH series was okay but I haven't been able to stand a FF game since IX.

well as always the FF series is very controversial as to which game was the best wise..

WHile FFXII is one of the most critically acclaimed FF's it disappointed fans, same with World ends With You (made by Nomura....right)

But wha I feel is S-E is getting out of the OMG Sakaguchi left state and "starting" to push out wuality titles

FF13 will be their big test...if its are well received S-E is back, DQ 9 as well but isn't that being made by Level 5?
