LostWinds sequel confirmed!

Looks like Frontier thinks that LostWinds will be a hit. I sure hope they are right. Their confidence is shown by a statement on their official website, which already announces a sequel.

Wow, I feel so... justified. I bought the original AND Pop just yesterday (around 10:45 Eastern Daylight time, actually), and I kinda like both games, really...

I think the first one will far exceed their expectations... Maybe sometime they will be able to develop a retail quality title too.

Holy crap. I hope we get a new one every month. LOL Well I would probably just want them to make a large lost winds game , about 10-20 hrs. I can't see this coming though until nintendo solves the memory problem.

Wow, that's a nice way to:

A. Get around the size limit.

B. Market a good game at a fair price online.


It's a game you play in installments, until it's finished, paying a certain amount a pop, until you eventually beat it.

If all goes as planned, you should end up spending about 30 bucks on this game and be able to download all chapters of sooner than later.

This is all just speculation, but if that's why this company did right at Wii-Ware launch, then that's pretty innovative marketing and great management and business planning right out of the box. Even if the game sucked(which it doesn't) it would still be a monumental success just because of this excellent business strategy.

Bring it on guys, I love your game Western style mixed with Asian (Japanese mostly), will make the Japanese love this game as well.

Well the game was ready for the launch of Wii-Ware so it wouldn't be surprising if they were already working on it before release. From the sounds of the quote above the ends before full closure is reached so they probably planned it from day one. Not that its necessarily a bad thing.
