Could it be that the developers have wanted to make games like this for Wii, but that Publishers have not been interested in funding them? (Sadness/Conduit come to mind)
The Publishers are the ones who think "lets copy Wii Play because it sells a lot" and then ask for a game that has about the same depth as Wii Play yet costs 2 or 4 times the price.
