Long gone are the days of single man to twelve man development teams, the days of games being made by single individuals. Or are they?
When asked, Miyamoto also suggested that he might be interested in attempting a new one-man project at Nintendo, following the success of other recent titles with atypically small teams. "Yeah, I think it would be fun to do that," he said.- Gamasutra.com
A single man project likely for WiiWare considering that is what the interview topic was about. Could Miyamoto pull off the unthinkable and bring us a game that is 100% Miyamoto made, the likes of which haven't been seen since I believe the 80's early 90's.
I'm not sure about you but the idea of a new Miyamoto origional title being developed entirely by the Gaming God himself is just to exciting to hold in. I mean Miyamoto developed some of the greatest gaming franchises of all time to see him return to the drawing board and bring us a new origional title would be amazing.
Anyone else see promise in a 100% Miyamoto developed game. or the idea that small teams of as few as one person will be able to make new games for the next generation? In a day and age when developers often exceed 400-employees working on a single game could single man dev teams actually compete against their giant brothers?
