Wrong. the conspiracy was to punish Nintendo, by putting a non-Nintendo game at the top of the rankings. Slightly different than hurting the Wii.

BTW, I made a blog post on Destructoid about what I think of this. Hint, it's not knocking GTA IV, or any highly scored games.

I don't think there are too many 10's given these days. Yes, magazines with Playstation, xbox or Nintendo in the names, give 10's to a lot of games, but they are bias.

If you go to a neutral, respected site, they don't give 10's very often. IGN just gave their first 10/10 this century and Gamespot just gave their first 10/10 in 5 years.

I suspect IGN will give MGS4 between 9.3-9.7 and gamespot a 9 or 9.5.

I think IGN will give it a perfect 10. They(Greg, Jeff, Chirs) seem to be big Metal Gear fans and Jeff who played thorugh the whole game seems to suggest a 10, but maybe not.

Well if Snake dies  (spoiler), doesn't the game deserve a 10 then?

Well GTA4 scores are going down as of late, it seems the very first reviewers scored it 100%, now Ive seen scores of 80%, so who cares in the long run the avrg scores go down.

MGS2 got 3 9.5/10
MGS3(subsistence) got 10/10/9.5(damn whoever gave it a 9.5)
MGS4 will definetly earn a 10

but I do agree that GTAIV does not deserve a 10. more like a 9.75
IMO, it wasn't as good as Vice City or San Andreas.

I'd rather play as a Badass with a gruff voice and a luxurious mullet instead of a whiny pretty boy.

Those comments confused me. I thought you were still discussing GTA for a second.

BTW, the fact that the mullet actually does look "luxurious" shows that the Metal Gear series really is fiction.
