Forums - PC - Best Graphics of 2008? Empire: Total War.

Is it just me or does the screens look like paintings? It also looks like one unit consists of over a 100 men. No way, and if so, combined with enhanced graphics from Medieval, it's way beyond my PC specs.

It just looks like it is going to be so amazing, especially with the advent of naval combat, and the colonial period is a time that interests me even more than the roman age, which makes it even more annoything that I won't be able to play it. Do you both with the individual battles, or just use the campaign map, as my computer just can't run the battles smoothly

I can't tell if it really has good graphics since the quality of the pics are low.

Do you have links? I can't copy image location because I'm on my school laptop (no mouse) X_X Unless the screens were already low quality...

I've linked the neogaf thread from where I got the picsin the OP, but the forum seems down atm.

Yes, pics pics seems low quality, and the fact that Vgchartz forum cuts the pics in half doesn't help. But even so, you can see the amazing quality in lighting, fog and the realistic models.

I wanted this game so bad.... but now, I don't think my PC can handle it. Medieval 2 was a stretch.....

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Certainly not the best graphics of 2008.

It looks good though.

I have yet to see better screens than Empire's.

err...1 model (replay and not in game) vs thousands of models in real time (in case you don't know in total war series you can zoom in and out DURING game)? sorry mate: you posted the wrong picture and Empire: TW is two worlds ahead.

My computer can play the M2:TW fairly well in the battle portion. The requirements aren't actually so bad but it doesn't run it the way I like it. I use an 8600GT. I remember when I first played the original Medieval: TW. That was the first instance I saw my old graphics card crashed and it never ran well afterwards.

Now to continue-I hope CA  fixes the kinks  in the campaign portion.  Diplomacy totally sucks in Rome and M2. Like why is a rival faction demanding money from you to end the war when you have the upper hand? Or why does a rival faction keep declaring war on you after you have repeatedly agreed to become a vassal state. It doesn't make any sense at all.

It may not be the very best, but it is damn good especially for a Total War game. lol, I'm waiting for the inevitable Total War: Modern Combat =P

Looks good, but I'm not a fan of Revolutionary War combat...boring...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

What game is this? Anyway, you can't even compare it to Empire: Total War, which uses thousands of models at the same time.
